January 22, 2013	Seed Starting Bill Karges, Pioneer Garden and Feed Store will explain how, when, where and what to start growing from seed. Bill is the “go to” man for your garden questions and concerns.
February 26, 2013	New Varieties for a New Year Susan Schmitz, Trials and Education Manager at Ball Horticultural Co. in West Chicago, IL where she manages North American new variety trials and garden tours for corporate and visitor events.
March 26, 2013	The Best Homegrown: During the growing season, members can bring in their “best” homegrown flower or vegetable in hopes of wining a ribbon. Our judges will explain what they look for when judging the entries. MGCVP Members/Competition Judges
April 23, 2013	Growing Dahlias A truly magnificent flower – some as large as your dinner plate. Our members Al Dekker and Jerry Landerholm will show us how and provide some tips.
May 28, 2013	Fairy Wonderful Day in the Garden… …presented by Linda Haas of www.treestarhollow.com – the new and fun trend in gardening. Linda will show us how to create a garden setting in miniature scale. You will be amazed at the endless possibilities and how special a garden-in-a-garden can be!
